An Oregon man, Jesse Calhoun, already facing charges for five murders, has been indicted in connection with the death of a sixth woman, Elizabeth 'Libby' Gibson, whose body has not yet been found.
Jesse Calhoun, an Oregon man accused of killing five women, has been further indicted by a grand jury on a charge of first-degree manslaughter in the death of Elizabeth 'Libby' Gibson. Officials believe Gibson, 32, who lived in Portland, was killed on or around November 18, 2022, after being last seen in 2022 and reported missing the following year, though her body has not been recovered. Calhoun, 41, previously pleaded not guilty to five counts of second-degree murder and four counts of abuse of a corpse in the killings of Ashley Real, Kristin Smith, Charity Perry, Bridget Webster, and Joanna Speaks, which occurred between 2022 and 2023. Prosecutors plan to try Calhoun for all murders in one trial. Calhoun's early release from prison in 2021 for participating in a wildfire fighting program was reversed in 2023 following the murder investigations.
