Emails from Evans to Carrot Top's lawyer, dated September 3, stated that the press would 'use its own imagination about what the USB is' if the motion proceeded, while denying it was a threat. He reiterated the $500,000 demand for resolution. Carrot Top's legal team countered, calling Evans' communication 'a malicious threat to expose Thompson to disgrace' and an attempt to 'extort money under the guise of litigation conduct.' A representative for Carrot Top noted that a federal court recently declared Mr. Evans a 'vexatious litigant,' describing his filings as 'serial' and 'spurious,' and dismissing one case as designed to 'harass Defendants.' Carrot Top is currently hospitalized and recovering from a suicide attempt, with his focus on health and recovery.
