UFC champions Alex Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev are planning an unexpected 'Cooking With Volk' collaboration, involving a hunting and cooking adventure in Dagestan.
Featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski announced plans to team up with rival Islam Makhachev for a special 'Cooking With Volk' episode. Volkanovski, speaking from Abu Dhabi ahead of his UFC 333 title defense, revealed that he and Makhachev have already discussed the collaboration. The unique plan involves Volkanovski traveling to Dagestan to go horseback hunting with Makhachev in the mountains, followed by cooking their catch over a wood fire. Volkanovski also shared his ambition to start a new series on his popular YouTube channel, which has garnered over 62 million views, featuring former opponents like Ilia Topuria. Despite their two intense fights in 2023, where Volkanovski lost both, the two fighters are looking to connect outside the octagon. In addition to his YouTube endeavors, Volkanovski is also part of the cast in the new live-action Street Fighter movie. Before these projects, Volkanovski must first face undefeated Movsar Evloev in the Octagon at UFC 333.
