Savannah Guthrie's family is offering a $1 million reward for information leading to the recovery of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, who vanished from her Arizona home over three weeks ago. Authorities suspect kidnapping, citing blood evidence and surveillance footage of a masked man.
"Today" show host Savannah Guthrie announced her family is now offering a $1 million reward for information leading to the recovery of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, who disappeared from her Arizona home more than three weeks ago. Nancy was last seen on January 31st near Tucson and was reported missing the next day. Authorities suspect she was kidnapped, having found drops of her blood on the front porch and releasing surveillance videos of a masked man at her door the night she vanished. Concerns are high for Nancy's health as she requires vital daily medication. The investigation involves several hundred people and over 20,000 tips, with assistance from the FBI and other agencies. While surveillance footage of a man with a backpack and gloves provided a major break, the sheriff's department addressed speculation about discrepancies in the masked person's clothing across different images, stating there are no date or time stamps. Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that family members, including siblings and spouses, are not suspects. Savannah Guthrie also stated the family will donate $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, hoping to extend the attention given to their case to other families.
