Jennifer Eckhart, a 36-year-old former Fox News producer, was discovered dead at her Hope Sound, Florida home over the weekend by her mother, Cynthia Eckhart. Authorities confirmed her death was ruled a suicide. Eckhart had recently settled a high-profile sexual assault lawsuit against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, whom she accused of rape. Henry, fired by Fox News in July 2020 and now working for Newsmax, denied the allegations. Eckhart had previously spoken about the immense toll the five-year legal battle had taken on her, expressing renewed passion for supporting trauma survivors after the settlement. Additionally, in July last year, Eckhart was arrested for allegedly assaulting her ex-boyfriend, a charge that was later dropped due to insufficient evidence, a decision she described as vindicating. She was the host of the podcast REINVENTED and ran The Reinvented Project, a non-profit dedicated to assisting trauma survivors through animal-assisted therapy. Her last Instagram post in early June hinted at "exciting stuff" she hoped to share.
