The tragic discovery of Bangladeshi doctoral student Zamil Limon's body on a bridge over Tampa Bay has sent shockwaves through the University of South Florida community. Limon, 27, went missing on April 16 along with his girlfriend, Nahida Bristy, 27, who is still actively being sought by law enforcement dive teams in the bay. Limon's former roommate, Abugharbeih, was taken into custody after officers responded to a domestic violence report at his family's home, where he barricaded himself before surrendering to a SWAT team. Authorities confirmed there are no other suspects at this time. Limon and Bristy, both graduate students considering marriage, were last seen on April 16. Limon was last seen at his off-campus apartment, where he lived with Abugharbeih, while Bristy was seen at a campus science building an hour later. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of Limon's death. Abugharbeih, a former USF student with a history of arrests for battery and domestic violence petitions, ended an initial interview with investigators before his arrest. Sheriff Chad Chronister and Chief Deputy Joseph Maurer expressed their commitment to uncovering the truth in this 'deeply disturbing case.'
