A Baltimore mother confronted a mysterious man living in the sewers after her children reported being taunted and chased. Police have since intervened, installing no-trespassing signs and offering services to the individual.
Unique Wiggins, a concerned mother in Baltimore, initially dismissed her children's claims about a man harassing them from the sewers. After repeated complaints, including her 21-year-old daughter being scared, Wiggins investigated. She confronted the man, who was singing in a manhole, demanding he leave her 'f–king kids alone.' The man retorted, telling her children to leave him alone, despite being in the sewer. The situation escalated when the man chased her children, prompting Wiggins to call the police. Initially, police claimed sewers were public property, limiting their action. Wiggins expressed feeling unprotected and called for officials to cover the manholes and install no-trespassing signs. Baltimore County Police later confirmed they arrested the man on July 26th, though he was released. A 'peace order' was served, and a no-trespassing sign was installed at a storm drain. Police also stated they offered services unsuccessfully. Baltimore County Housing and Development emphasized their commitment to helping those experiencing homelessness and behavioral health challenges. The man is scheduled to appear in court.
